The 5th Kihim Running And Living Beach Half Marathon

This is a beautiful and a different run on the flat, hard packed beach of Kihim,near Alibag at low tide
Race rules - Our runs start on time so be punctual.
Get a friend or family member to come and cheer you or volunteer - we promise to keep them occupied Parking at the beach parking only.
Come in 30 mins before the start of your race to ensure you warm up, meet some friends and have a great start.
Get as many of your family and friends to join us all at the looping course so that they can cheer you on at several points and get you to your personal best time and make it your funnest race as you see their placards, they photograph you and cheer loudly for you, as well as the other runners.
The Primary Health Care medical, water, and sports drinks will be there at various points, - we want you to be safe and injury free with basic treatment close at hand if required. Please call for aid if you ever do feel dizzy or unsteady.
If you are running the half marathon- prepare well, for running in the warmth and humidity and on hard sand. We want you to be safe.
We want you to have fun and stay safe, and you need to do your bit towards that.
The runs are organised by runners for runners. Experience the thrill of a lifetime as you cross the finish line.
The course is flat, scenic and along the beach and well supported. The Half Marathon will stay open for 3 hours from 5:00 am onwards and with Sports Drinks, Water, Primary Health Care and our enthusiastic volunteer support.
An attractive medal, certificate with timing (non chip) for each finisher of the Half Marathon and 10.55k at the finish line.
The runs will start and finish at Kihim beach where there is some parking space for those of you driving in via Panvel and Pen. If you are coming in from Mumbai we recommend you take the ferry from Gateway of India on Friday or Saturday and the connecting bus to Chondhi and walk or take a rickshaw for the final 2km. Lots of small places to stay at Kihim and also at Alibag which is 12 km away - we recommend first trying out stays at Kihim.

Each runner will get a running T Shirt
Bib pick up will be on Sat Mar 25th between 10am and 3pm at Sagarika Resort at Kihim Beach in Raigad District - you can look it up on Google Maps.
If you are planning to run, block off some time for coming to the expo - you will get to know the way to the race location and will also meet several other runners and make new friends. Please do not attempt to come in from Mumbai or Pune on the morning of the race or late Sat evening. You will be missing the point of coming to this location. It;s gorgeous at sundown
It will be a bit warm and a bit humid so practice your hydration schedule well. There will be a sea breeze.Come prepared to stay a while and also take in some history and some lazing around - we have a great cool tub organised for all of you - The Arabian Sea
Please definitely plan to stay overnight on Saturday at Kihim, Chondi or some nearby place after coming to the expo.We have booked Sagarika for Saturday night so if you want to stay there - please email email@example.com - the most scenic and convenient but a simple facility.
Getting to Kihim:The best way is to take a Catamaran from Gateway of India to Mandawa with a Connecting bus to Chondhi (around 8km away from Mandawa)
Best Places to stay are at Sagarika - Convenience - we have booked the place so let us know - there are 3, 4 and 5 bed options - a bit tight, but scenic and most convenient Rs 1400 per bed on 25th Mar night.
