The 2nd Alibag Running And Living Half Marathon

Race rules - our runs start on time so be punctual.
Con a friend or family member to come and cheer you or volunteer - we promise to keep them occupied Parking and designated spots only, please.
Come in 30 mins before the start of your race to ensure you warm up, meet some friends and have a great start.
Get as many of your family and friends to join us all at the looping course so that they can cheer you on at several points and get you to your personal best time and make it your funnest race as you see their placards, they photograph you and cheer loudly for you, as well as the other runners.
The Primary Health Care medical team, water, sports drinks and time check will be there at various points, - we want you safe and injury free with basic treatment close at hand if required. Please call for aid if you ever do feel dizzy or unsteady.
If you are running the half marathon- prepare well, for running in the heat and humidity and on sand. We want you safe.
We want you to have fun and stay safe, and you need to do your bit towards that.
The runs are organised by runners for runners. Experience the thrill of a lifetime as you cross the finish line.
The course is flat, scenic and mostly along the beach and well supported. The Half Marathon will stay open for 3:00 hours from 6:00am onwards and with Sports Drinks, Water, Primary Health Care and our enthusiastic volunteer support.
An attractive medal, certificate with timing for each finisher of the Half Marathon.
The bib pick up for all races will happen at the mini expo at Kihim Beach on Sat Feb 15th between 9:00am and 2 pm.
The runs will start and finish at Kihim beach where there is some parking space for those of you driving in from Panvel and Pen. If you are coming in from Mumbai we recommend you take the ferry from Gateway of India on Saturday and the connecting bus to Chondhi and walk or take a rickshaw for the final 2km. Lots of small places to stay at Kihim and also at Alibag which is 12 km away - we recommend first trying out stays at Kihim - will update this shortly
Plan to be at the start at least 30 minutes before the start of the race.
If you are training for your 1st Half Marathon, look no further for a great schedule , 5k training program for the first timer , 10k training program for the 1st timer
The final 3 weeks: Check out the last 3 week schedule at one of the training programs on our site which suits your level of training and your goals.Remember – train well and you will finish smiling. All the very best and congratulations on your decision.
Train well for your fastest run of the season. If you are based in Mumbai come out and run during your training period on the course too.
Each runner will get a running T Shirt
Bib pick up will be at the Marathon mini expo on March 2nd between 9am and 2pm at Kihim Beach in Raigad District - you can look it up on Google Maps.
If you are planning to run, block off some time for coming to the expo - you will get to know the way to the race location and will also meet several other runners and make new friends. Please do not attempt to come in from Mumbai or Pune on the morning of the race.
It will be a bit warm and a bit humid so practice your hydration schedule well. There will be a sea breeze.Come prepared to stay a while and also take in some history and some lazing around - we have a great cool tub organised for all of you - The Arabian Sea
